Sales Support Specialist

Qualifications and Detail about the Position

 

Summary:

As a Sales Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in facilitating the sales process and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will collaborate closely with the sales team to provide administrative and operational support, streamline processes, and deliver exceptional service to our customers.

 

Overview:
  • Calls and/or receives calls from new or existing customer base.
  • Answers questions about product, service, price, delivery, submittal status, availability of product, etc.
  • Assesses customer needs and makes recommendations for renewals, upgrades, or new products and services.
  • Performs online communications, direct marketing, and marketing research.
  • Troubleshoots technical issues for company products or services.

 

Typical Functions:
  • Gains in-depth product or service knowledge and educates customers.
  • Supports the creation/building of long-term relationships with customers.
  • Performs order entry, reviews and processes orders, and creates credit requests.
  • Prepares all necessary account and billing reconciliations, and prepares or presents them to clients.
  • Creates, processes, and maintains a variety of reports pertaining to specific clients.
  • Interfaces with clients, Sales Representatives, Account Managers, and internal departments; and assists in resolving client related administrative issues.
  • Identifies delays or problem areas, and suggests solutions for resolving issues.
  • Gathers competitive intelligence, and provides feedback on levels of customer satisfaction, as well as recommendations to improve procedures at the close of each sale or upgrade.
  • Determines if sales goals and performance standards are met.
  • Maintains customer database.
  • May assist Accounting Department with vendor invoice processing.
