Shoring Designer 

Qualifications and Detail about the Position

Summary:

Design scaffolds and create three dimensional (3D) models of scaffolds for projects and proposals, provide dashboard reporting with specialized software,
assist in developing and training Scaffold and other management systems, and assist in research and development of apps for scaffold management and
other activities.

• Design and create 3D models of estimates

• Integrate with operational personnel in design or modifications of 3D models

• Integrate with registered engineers to acquire engineering stamps for scaffold designs

• Create and maintain a catalogue of all scaffolds designed and modeled for future reference or use

• Develop, create and modify as needed reporting dashboards for various activities

• Provide training assistance in the design and development of reporting dashboards for operational or functional leadership or clients, as needed

• Provide training in the use of smart technology (tablets) by field personnel

• Research and develop apps for use with smart devices for field gathering of data or other uses

• Provide research, evaluation and development of new technology and innovations

 

Other information:

Working Conditions:

• Working conditions include outdoor and indoor field, yard and shop locations.

• Working indoors in an office environment

• Utilization of Personal Protective Equipment is necessary

• Frequent travel as required

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred

• Knowledgeable of industrial facilities such as refineries, chemical plants, power plants, and paper mills

• Experience in 3D models and AutoCAD design

• Knowledgeable in scaffold systems, components and design
